We
normally suggest going with the size that fits you from other sports shoe
brands. However, if your usual size is a half-size, then we recommend
selecting half-size down e.g. if you are usually a 7.5 we recommend going for
a 7.
Also, if you're new to barefoot shoes, we'd recommend one size down.

The perfect tool for easing the transition to barefoot-style shoes and reducing load on the calf and Achilles tendon.
FAQs For Silicone Heel Lifts
Our heel lifts gently raise the heel to reduce strain on the calves and Achilles while maintaining a natural, minimalist feel. For people new to barefoot style shoes, using these as a tool to allow your calves and achilles to gradually adjust to the zero-drop (no raised heel) sole can help with a more sustainable and pain-free transition.
Heel lifts can also be useful for people looking to reduce the load on the calf and Achilles following injury.
We suggest that the heel lifts are used underneath your insoles. Here are the steps to installing your heel lifts:
- Remove your insoles
- Peel off the sticker on the back of the heel lift, revealing the adhesive surface
- Place the heel lift adhesive side down in the shoe
- Place the insole back on top

Yes — a heel lift can help with Achilles tendinopathy by slightly reducing stretch and load on the Achilles tendon during walking and running. This can ease pain and support recovery. It’s often most effective as part of a comprehensive plan that also includes appropriate exercise, stretching, and guidance from a healthcare professional.
Heel lifts are great when you're transitioning to zero-drop, barefoot-style shoes or overcoming injury however as your body strengthens and adapts, you may decide to gradually remove them from your shoes. We'd recommend listening to your body. Gradually spend longer periods of time without the heel lifts during lower intensity activities. If yous calves and Achilles tendons are not sore, you can incrementally increase the duration and intensity of your activity until you feel comfortable no longer using the heel lifts.
