How To Use Our Size Guide
Sizes vary between brands, so a quick check here is the easiest way to get the fit right (and cut down on returns).
You can either print size templates to lay your feet on or measure your own feet. Either way, ensure you are wearing the socks you’ll actually wear with the shoes.
Got a printer?
- Choose the style, and then click Men’s or Women’s above the chart
- Click the printer icon for your style
- Print at 100% scale (not “fit to page”), and follow instructions on printout
No printer?
- Draw around your foot and take measurements for length and width
- Compare to the measurements in the table
- Your foot should ideally be around 10mm less than the length on the guide, depending on preference
Use the Size Guide Checklist below to help determine your size and also see our FAQ (hyperlink this to bottom of page) section below for more advice on using the size guides and choosing the correct size.

Why Barefoot Shoes Fit Differently - and How They Should Feel
How To Use The Size Guide FAQ
If you’re between sizes, it’s usually best to choose the size that gives you a little more toe room, then adjust the fit with Bahé’s modular insole system. Our shoes are designed to be modular, so you can remove or add insoles without affecting performance or conductivity. If the fit feels a little roomy, add an extra insole for a more secure, tailored fit. If it feels snug you can remove the insole to create more room and volume.
No problem. Stand against a wall, place your foot on a piece of paper and draw around it. Measure the length (and ideally width) of your foot. Then use the size chart to choose a length that leaves around 10mm in front of your toes (preference-dependent).
Tip: trace your foot wearing the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
If the top of the page printed correctly, you can still use it to check width and shape. For length, use the no-printer method above: draw around foot, measure length and check against the chart, aiming for around 10mm space.
If it’s not printing to scale, don’t use it to choose a size. You may still be able to use it to check the general shape, but for sizing use the no-printer method above.
No. You’ll need extra space in front of your toes. We suggest around 10 mm, depending on preference.
Use the scale box on the printable guide and confirm it matches the stated measurement. If it doesn’t, reprint at 100% scale.
Bahé Fit And Sizing FAQs
Because sizing varies between brands, ordering your usual size isn’t always reliable. We recommend using our size guide to choose your size and reduce returns. Our shoes are designed with a natural foot shape and a wider toe box, so they may feel roomier than conventional footwear as well as some other brands within this category.
Our barefoot-style shoes can feel slightly larger than some other brands in this category.
Not always. Some styles fit differently, so use the size chart for the specific style you’re ordering.
Our Revive, Rewild and Rediscover models are based on the same shape and we aimed to achieve the same fit, but naturally you may wear different socks for different activities , for example thicker socks for hiking. So we always suggest checking the size guide.
We use different charts because the labelled sizes differ between men’s and women’s in some regions (for example US and Australia). The fit is the same.
It’s personal preference, but we suggest around 10 mm. A good reference is to check a pair of shoes that fits you well. You can also remove the insole, place your foot on it with your heel at the back, and see how much room you have in front.
For sandals, remember you’ll want space at the back of the footbed as well as the front.
Often shoes labelled as 'wide fit' still have a tapered toe box. Bahé shoes have a wider fit whilst still maintaining and anatomical toe area, making them very suitable for people with wider feet.
We recommend choosing a size based on your larger foot, and adjusting fit using an extra insole if needed.

Sizing can vary between brands, so we recommend choosing your Bahé size using the printable size chart on this page rather than relying on your usual size.
Your Bahé size may be similar to other barefoot shoe brands, but sizing and shape can still vary between brands. The best way to choose your size is to use the printable size chart on this page.
I Already Have My Shoes FAQ (Fit Checks + Help)
Foot-shaped shoes often feel different at first - that’s the point. Bahé shoes should still feel comfortable when you first try them on. You’re looking for room in the toes, a secure midfoot and a locked-in heel. The main thing to check is the length in front of your toes. They shouldn’t feel tight or loose - just secure, with room where it matters.
A quick way to sense-check fit:
- Toes: room to spread naturally, without touching the front or feeling pinched
- Midfoot: secure, but not tight or crushing
- Heel: locked-in and stable, without excessive slipping
Because Bahé shoes are designed with a natural foot shape and wider toe box, they may feel roomier than traditional footwear at first. That’s normal, as long as the shoe still feels secure through the midfoot and heel.
And remember Bahé’s modular fit. Most styles can be worn with or without an insole, and many people add an extra insole to dial in a snugger feel. If you want more space and ground feel, remove the insole. If you want a more secure fit or a little more cushioning, add an extra insole.
Not necessarily. Bahé shoes are designed with a natural foot shape and wider toe box, so the toe area will feel roomier than in conventional shoes. What matters is that your toes have space without touching the front, and that the shoe still feels secure through the midfoot and heel. If it feels a little loose through the midfoot or heel, first adjust the lacing, then try adding an extra insole. If it still doesn’t feel secure, you may need a smaller size.
A quick way to check whether an extra insole will help is to take the insole out of one shoe and place it inside the other, upside down so it fits. That will give you a quick sense of whether ordering an extra pair of insoles is likely to improve the fit.
No. Your toes should not feel pressed against the front, top, or sides of the shoe. If the fit feels only slightly tight, try removing the removable modular insole to create a little more space. Many customers find this resolves minor fit issues. If your toes are still touching after removing the insole, you likely need the next size up.
Bahé shoes should feel comfortable straight away and do not usually need a break-in period. Some of our waterproof styles may soften a little more with use, but they should still feel comfortable from the start.
Yes. Extra insoles can make the fit feel snugger (less volume), and can add a bit more underfoot comfort. They’re a simple way to fine-tune without changing size.
They can. A small heel lift can make the early zero-drop transition feel smoother for some people and can help with heel security. They’re typically used temporarily, then reduced over time as you adapt.
