I have had the "Revive Grounding Barefoot Shoes (Women's)" for four months, wearing them as my day-to-day shoes through the summer, autumn, and now into winter.
First of all, I've never had such comfortable shoes in my life! It feels like I'm not wearing shoes most of the time. I no longer experience the "Ugh, finally I can take my shoes off" sensation that I used to feel when I got home. The only issue is that all other shoes now feel uncomfortable!
It took a little while for me to adjust to these shoes (they are my first barefoot shoes). I realized what was happening: my walking gait was naturally adjusting! Looking back, I see that my feet used to point inward when I walked, which put pressure on my hips, knees, ankles, and leg muscles... I walk straight now, so the inflammation in my hips has faded, and my knees feel much stronger.
I had never before experienced the freedom of not having my little toe crammed into the soon-to-be-outdated common shoe shape of all my previous shoes. I will never go back. The grip on these shoes is also very good.
I run mainly on forest paths. I believe my running has improved since wearing these shoes; the barefoot design has helped to build muscle, and my movement has adjusted to a more natural and consistent pattern. If you haven't worn barefoot shoes while running yet, I would suggest taking it slow to prevent injury as you adjust to them.
As for the grounding... it's there. I notice when putting on non-grounding shoes a block between the earth and myself that I hadn't noticed before. I practice energy work and feel that the flow of energy between the earth and me is open with these shoes. I'm not going to comment on the benefits of this, as they are so numerous that they are not all yet fully understood. The benefits subtly and holistically span through our systems in ways that aren't yet obvious enough to discuss fully.
The shoes are stylish. You don't get many barefoot or grounding shoes that don't compromise on appearance, but these don't. I love the fact that they are sustainably made using plant-based materials.
The customer service is quick, kind, and helpful. I emailed the company after ordering the wrong size, sent back the pair I had, and received my new shoes without difficulty or stress. The website also has an online chat feature, which I used to confirm the proper way to clean these shoes without damaging them. I received a quick, kind, and very informative response. It is reassuring to know this level of support is available.
As for the price... I have never spent this much money on a pair of shoes before. However, given all that you are receiving from these shoes, the price is fair. Still, I do believe that if it's possible to lower the price, making them available to a larger percentage of people could be beneficial. A lot of people I have spoken to about these shoes have been very interested, only to see the price and look elsewhere.
I haven't had a moment of regret about spending the money I did on these shoes.
I'd like to comment on the long-term durability of these shoes, but I have only had them for four months. So far, apart from some scuffs on the rubber, they are in pretty much the same condition as when I bought them.
As you may have noticed from my long review... I absolutely love these shoes. I am so happy with them and recommend them to anyone and everyone.
A lot of love, thought, and care has gone into designing these shoes, and I feel that is very important.
