I'm back with a new review as I missed an aspect. The sandals are of high quality. I used them a lot in the city but also on rough terrain, rivers, hiking.. they are have duty but comfortable at the same time. Thank you!

too stiff

I like the design, the size is fine and fits well.. but the sole is too stiff compared to other barefoot shoes.
The front part is especially uncomfortable and it's like I'm dragging them, hinders the natural movement.
It's OK for a walk and the grounding aspect was important for me.
Unfortunately I cannot use them for running or hiking and will look for smth more flexible.

Hi Maria, thanks a lot for your order and for providing feedback. Some other barefoot sandals are a simple single thickness of rubber so they start off very flexible. Because ours has a grippy rubber outsole and the slightly cushioned footbed, the flexibility definitely increases over time with a few wears so hopefully you'll feel the difference and be able to enjoy them for running as well.

Not flexibele enough

Dear Bahe Team,

I recently purchased a pair of your sandals ahead of my holiday, attracted by the promise that they were suitable for running and hiking. The fit and sizing are excellent, and I had high hopes for their performance.

However, I’ve been very disappointed with the flexibility of the sole. The sole is stiff and does not move naturally with my foot. When I lift my foot, my toes bend upward as expected, but the sole remains flat and fails to follow the motion. As a result, the sole drags along the ground and has even caused me to stumble — particularly noticeable when walking up stairs.

This issue has made me feel unsafe wearing them, and I haven’t dared to use them for hiking as originally intended. Given the price point of the sandals, I expected much better functionality and comfort.

I would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and advise me on possible next steps.

Hi Sandra, thanks for your feedback, it's always welcome and appreciated. We've created the sandal to have a balance of good flexibility combined with a little cushioning, trying to be very practical option for sustained use which works well for most people. If the flexibility is you're main concern, we find that this always increases with more wear. Some simple sandals are a single layer, however ours combine a textured EVA top layer for comfort and stimulation of the foot with a rubber base for durability and grip. With the two layers, after a few wears you should find they adapt to your movement well.

Love them! Took a while to adjust the fit but now I’ve got them how I like them will be wearing them all the time. Very secure, could do with slightly more ground feel but great for all round use and lovely colour.
