I love my Bahe boots, I’ve worn barefoot shoes for several years but hace struggled to find waterproof boots, not a problem in summer, but wet feet can be horrid in winter!

The Bahe boots are fully waterproof, I’ve used them under garden hose! They’re a wide toe box (although slightly wider would be nice, I’ve got very use to soft flexi barefoot shoes, so these did feel slightly restricted but someone not used to barefoot shoes would probably think they’re really wide!)

The sole is zero drop, that is where the barefoot style ends, they’re not super flexible like barefoot shoes & you can’t feel the ground….

I can’t comment on the grounding element made… not sure if it’s meant to be felt?

Anyway, they’re a great winter hiking boot with the style of a barefoot shoe but waterproof

He probado las botas durante unas semanas y me han parecido cómodas, pero más desde que les quité las plantillas. Antes de eso, la tela de la bota hacía un pliegue en el antepie que era molesto, aunque no doloroso. Además, los dedos meñiques me rozaban con la tela cuando estaba sentado o parado de pie, lo que los hacía incómodos en esa situación. Fue quitarles las plantillas a las botas y ya tengo más espacio para mis pies, no me roza en los meñiques y, caminando, no he notado ninguna diferencia.
Yo escogí la suela intermedia, que tiene 1,4 cm de grosor más 3 mm de plantilla. Sin la plantilla, que no absorbe ningún impacto, no he notado diferencia al caminar por caminos o senderos con piedras sueltas, pero sí he notado, como decía, que mis pies tenían mucho más espacio de altura y estaba mucho más cómodo cuando estaba parado de pie o sentado, incluso caminando, porque no noto el pliegue que comentaba antes.
En cuanto a la estabilidad, decir que no he tenido ningún percance y que sujetan muy bien el pie. El agarre es bueno, sin ser espectacular. En terrenos sueltos y caminos en buen estado se agarran bastante bien. En ciudad, en suelo mojado, resbalan un poco. No los he probado en nieve.
Yo los compré en color beige y he de decir que, a pesar de ser claros, son bastante sufridos y, hasta el momento, los he podido limpiar muy fácilmente con un trapo húmedo.
Por último, no he notado diferencia entre que estas botas tengan conexión a tierra o no. Decir, eso sí, que la conexión a tierra, según la marca, también funciona sin la plantilla.

I absolutely love the look and level of waterproofing these practical yet stylish hiking boots have… sadly they are just so stiff, I was really disappointed.
Can’t really class them as barefoot when the soles barely flex at all unfortunately.
I’m absolutely gutted because in every other way they are perfect for what I needed and they stated “highly flexible” which is just not the case.

I think returns are expensive so looks like I’ll be selling them on sadly.
